2008 IDA Summer Workshop - Save the Date!
The Georgia Branch of the International Dyslexia Association presents
ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS FOR READING SUCCESS
A two day workshop for teachers led by Sally Kemph from the Georgia Project for
Assistive Technology (GPAT)
Struggling readers often have difficulty completing classroom reading activities
due to phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and/or comprehension difficulties. Assistive
technology solutions are available to assist in remediating reading deficits and
to aid in compensating for difficulties that the student is experiencing in these
areas. In this lab session, a range of low technology to high technology reading
tools will be demonstrated. Suggestions for selecting tools to meet individual student
needs will be addressed.
